30 min Cream roll (کریم رول)
Cream roll is a popular Afghan pastry.
Here is my easy peasy recipe to make this in under 30 minutes
What you need:
1 package of puff pastry
375 gram of mascarpone
150 gram of icing sugar ( you can add more)
Pinch of Cardomon
Pistachio powder for decoration
Mold/form to roll the puff pastry on
If you don’t have a special form for this recipe, no problem you can use a wooden coat hanger 😆 Wrap the long part with aluminum foil.
Take the puff pastry out the freezer. Cut the dough into 4 pieces and roll them as seen in the pictures.
Bake the rolls in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes until slightly browned, then allow to cool.
For the filling mix mascarpone and sugar (you can use more sugar if you like) and bit of cardamom well. Then the fun part. Fill a piping bag with the mixture and then fill the rolles with the mixture. Sprinkle some icing powder and ground pistachio on top and enjoy!
You can store the rolls for couple of days and fill them before serving. 👩🏼🍳💙😊 enjoy!
