Gulab jamun گلاب جامن
💗Soft delicious sweets you must have tried! It’s so good that you won’t stop eating it. A perfect treat for your loved ones and yourself.
▪ for the dough
2 cup Milk powder
1 tbsp Flour
2 tbsp Semolina
1/2 cup of Milk
1 tsp Baking powder .
▪ For the syrup
2 glass Sugar
2 glass Water
2 tbsp Rose water
Couple of roses
Bit of Safran
1 tbsp Lemon juice.
▪Start with making the syrup. Cook the water with the sugar for 5 minutes then add the rest of the ingredients and let it simmer on low temperature.
▪ Once you get the syrup simmering start with making the dough. Mix all other ingredients well but add the milk step by step (if the dough is too liquid add milk powder to fix it).
After you got the dough right start rolling small balls.
Make sure they have a smooth surface without cracks in it.
Fill a pan with plenty of oil and set the temperature on low. The oil should not be too hot. Fry the balls in oil and turn regularly until you get a golden brown colour.
After they are cooked soak it in hot syrup and let it cool.
Serve the gulab jaman with pistachios and with few rose leaves.
