Haft Mewa – Fruit Cocktail, a Traditional Afghan dish
This dish is prepared the day before Nowruz, the first spring day and New Year.
It’s a very natural and healthy cocktail that doesn’t contain any sugar or additives. Pure nature is a very healthy cocktail without sugar or food color.
What do you need? -A liter of hot water
-Golden raisins 150 g
-Black or Sultan raisins 150 g
-Almonds 200 g
-Walnuts 100 g
-Pistachios 100 g
-Dried apricots 200 g
-Olive willow (silverberry) 100 g
-Few dried roses
Step 1 – The almonds, walnuts and pistachios need to be soaked in hot water for a few hours and peeled.
Step 2 – Afterwards all the ingredients should be washed well in a large saucepan or bowl.
Step 3 – Pour a liter of hot water in the bowl and leave it for one or two days and the cocktail is ready!👩🏼🍳💙😊🌸🌸⚘⚘ Happy first day of Spring!
