💡My todays tip is a major time & money saver!
Prepare your vegetables and store it in the freezer. This way a dose of vitamins is ready to be added in your dishes. It saves you time and money as you won’t be waisting any bought vegetables.
It works well with bell pepper or eggplants. Other vegetables or a mix are also possible.
Today I prepared paprika/bell pepper in 2 ways: in the oven or simply by frying it.
What you need:
– Bell eppers in all colors (the amount of peppers you want)
– Olive oil
– Pair of glass jars
– Plastic bag for freezing
– Roasted peppers from the oven
☆ Roasted peppers
Heat the oven to 250 degrees.
Cut washed peppers in half and remove the seeds.
Place the peppers and baking tray covered with parchment paper in the center of the oven for about 30 minutes, until they almost burn. Place the pepper in the plastic bag. Close the bag and let them cool down for 15 minutes.
Remove the bell pepper from the bag and peel off the skin. Put the paprika in a clean jar and pour olive oil over it, add salt and Italian spices if you like. As always, place cooking paper under the lid. This is my gold tip agains molding 😉.
☆- Fry the peppers in a pan
Washed the paprika and remove the seeds. Cut into strips .
(( Always cut the bell pepper from the inside)) and fry briefly for 3 minutes in a pan with a small amount of oil. Do not let it soften. Then leave to cool. Place in a plastic bag and store in the freezer.
